Seller: Top-Rated Seller 419woodbutcher (2,418) 100%, Location: Toledo, Ohio, Ships to: US, CA, Item: 223503621595 Here I have a very old roof cresting made of bronze. They are patterned after a motif called Anthemion.anthemion (ănthē`mēən), commonly called a palmette, a radiating, fan-shaped ornament or motif suggestive of a palm leaf or of honeysuckle and found in Egyptian, Assyrian, and Aegean art. It was widely used by the Greeks and Romans on their buildings and on many kinds of decorative objects. These measure about 23 1/2" long and 5 1/2" high on the large palmette. The bronze has a great patina that takes years to achieve. Thanks for looking at my items. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do finding them. I find these to be special in my untrained eye. I have looked in a thousand places and at as many pictures and the only place I see them is in front of me. I bought them because I loved them. I added the last picture of one in my house. I put it at the base of a bookcase I made many years ago. It kinda looked nice and has never left, yet...This are nonmagnetic and made of bronze. This is a new listing with new pictures of the actual piece you will receive. Condition: Well aged patina nice and green. May have some paint and roof cement on the back side and edges. The locating pins to align a run are broken on the end as pictured., Material: Bronze, Original/Reproduction: Antique Original, Decade: Unknown but very old, Maker: unknown, Features: Salvage, Color: Greenish patina
