Seller: Top-Rated Seller 419woodbutcher (2,418) 100%, Location: Toledo, Ohio, Ships to: US, CA, Item: 223503621391 Here I have a very old roof cresting made of cast iron. They are patterned after a motif called Anthemion.anthemion (ănthē`mēən), commonly called a palmette, a radiating, fan-shaped ornament or motif suggestive of a palm leaf or of honeysuckle and found in Egyptian, Assyrian, and Aegean art. It was widely used by the Greeks and Romans on their buildings and on many kinds of decorative objects. These measure about 21" long and 10" high on the large palmette. The complete pair are both going the same direction. These will need to be packaged well to protect the fragile cast iron pieces. Thanks for looking at my items. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do finding them. I have more pieces with the same motif. These are longer and shorter with a wonderful patina of green oxidized Bronze. I find these to be special in my untrained eye. I have looked in a thousand places and at as many pictures and the only place I see them is in front of me. Condition: Well aged patina, these two are the complete ones I listed before with no repairs. These are in solid condition. View the photos to evaluate the condition for yourself of these pieces from our past., Material: Cast Iron, Original/Reproduction: Antique Original, Decade: Unknown but very old, Color: rust, Features: Salvage, Maker: unknown
