Seller: Top-Rated Seller bluenewhall (15,382) 100%, Location: Lunenburg, Massachusetts, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 233339099536 Antique 18th C. Imari Style Decoration Porcelain Teapot, England, c. 1775 - 1785. The teapot is in the classical round melon shape and it is beautifully handpainted with an Imari style decoration. This is the "Blue Daisy" pattern, in cobalt blue, blue and iron red with a fine line gilding. The teapot is unmarked but is similar to Liverpool Teapots in "Anthology of British Teapots", plates #297-306. But I couldn't find a teapot with the same footring that flares outward like this one. The teapot has a slightly elongated globular shape with a glazed footrim, flat and wide due to outward angle. The pattern on this teapot slightly resembles Worcester "Knife + Pickle Dish Daisy patterns. The porcelain body of the teapot has a slightly uneven, greenish-gray translucency. The glaze is tinted blue and it pools on inside of the footrim with areas where the body is thicker. This is a beautiful New Hall pattern in very good to exceptional conditon for the age! Should be a welcome addition to any collection. I offer it here with no reserve and a Buy It Now. DIMENSIONS: The teapot is 6 1/2" H. x 4 1/16" W. x 7 3/8" L.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with one small chip to the rim of the lid. There is also a short tight hairline on the upper rim with some roughness and nicks to the end of the spout. The appearance is mint with minimal wear to the enamel decoration. SHIPPING: Buyer pays actual shipping costs based upon the 4 pounds and 12 ounces weight and postal zone.
