Antique 19th Century Man's Screaming Head 4" Chalkware Match Holder

Offering an antique, chalkware – chalk ware, kitchen or fireplace match holder.
My grandfather collected vintage and antique match holders and I am beginning to list some of them.
This particular piece features a screaming, man’s head and dates from the late 1800's. He is wearing a red cowl around his head.
The head measures 4" top to bottom and approximately 4" across. There are many small nick and chips in the plaster and coloring, and these are to be expected in an antique item made only from chalk.
Inexpensive match holder heads like these were hand made by artisans, and sold in the streets by itinerant vendors who lined them up on trays which they carried on their heads.

I generally ship USPS Priority mail or Fed Ex unless the item is small enough for a Manila envelope in which case it goes First Class. I am at 55345 and I ship everyday except Sat. and Sun. I will also combine shipping on multiple purchases.
