Description: These wonderful doors were salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian. They are made of oak and are painted. Each has a glass opening (no glass) at the top with a wood panel below. The fronts of the doors are very ornate. Above the glass are hooded pediments with applied carved fleur de lis and ribbed molding below. Below the glass are shelves with carved embellishments below. The wood panels have molding forming a diamond panel. The glass openings and panels are framed in egg and dart molding. Most of the astrigal is present and has a rope turned design. Most hardware will need to be replaced. They measure 46.25 inches wide together, 82.75 tall, and 2 inches thick. The doors are solid and sturdy but will need to be restored. Overall they are in fair condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as they are antique. They could use a good cleaning. The house settled and the bottoms were poorly trimmed. Part of one of the fleur de lis is missing. The glass stop moldings were replaced, likely in pine. A dead bolt was added. The top of the left door is splintered and missing wood, the mortice bolt was pushed through and it will need to be patched. There are lots of small nail, screw and staple holes.
