Seller: exworkerbee (1,777) 99.7%, Location: Round Rock, Texas, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 262521116972 Condition: Some "tail feathers" broken at ends; scroll down listing for Description, Details: DescriptionThis is a very nicely cast iron/metal antique almost life-size statue of a crane or an egret/heron, from an estate. It was cast in four pieces--the two legs, the body, and the head/neck. The head/neck and legs are attached to the body with screws (replacement screw attaching head/neck). The screws attaching the legs have become weakened over time, so the legs have been epoxied in place to the body so it is solid and the statue will not fall. This is an unusual casting in that the actual feet and long thin "toes" are not cast in a base, but stand independently. The piece has distintive eyes and an oval patch on the top of the head painted red. There are some "tail feathers" in the back that have the ends broken off as shown in the photo. It measures 25" tall and 27" wide, and weighs 16 lbs. It will be shipped with the head/neck section unattached, with the screw included for re-attaching.
