Antique French fabric brown lilac pattern 1860's light weight cotton 49 by 45 in

• *~ A gorgeous and rare fabric , dating c 1860. This wonderful fabric is French and dates from around the time when cotton was scarce in Europe due to the American Civil war. Stunning pattern. There is a hand stitched steam on the left facing side of this panel as it was joined to make the width wider ~*~ This fabric is printed with the most wonderful lilac pattern, in a warm coffee brown and the ground tone is a warm aged tone. This fabric is light weight , and if using as curtaining or pillow fabric perhaps is best to back. A wonderful fabric! I recommend not washing as the ground patina is so lovely and will brighten with washing.  ~*~*~ *~ (FF 1254)

   MEASUREMENTS:  I'm selling this wonderful panel by the half length, so each purchase is for a length that measures :  approximately 49 inches wide by 45 inches long ~*~ should you wish to purchase the full long panel, simply change the quantity button to 2 and you will receive one long length that measures 49 inches wide by 90 inches long ~*~ 

  CONDITION : This panel is in as found, not freshly laundered condition with light storage dust. When held to the light, one can see some tiny pin holes and some pale small marks. The ground is aged and beautiful! This fabric is generally in lovely condition for it's age, however not without the signs of time and use often inherent in these wonderful finds ~*~
