Seller: graceinthegarden (930) 100%, Location: Englewood, Colorado, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 122757623776 A set of three place beige (a latte color) mats and four matching napkins in a combination of hand made needle lace and tape lace with figurals. The corners of the mats are of thin tape lace with a small figural. The figure looks like a woman in a full skirt, or a man in 16th century style pantaloons. The rest of the mat is a quatrefoil needle lace with a floral design. The lace is similar to Renaissance lace. The napkins are edged with tape lace and have the same figural in one corner. The set dates to the first few decades of the 20th century. One of the mats and two of the napkins are lighter -- they look to have been washed with something that bled out the original color. The washed place mat is a bit smaller than the others -- indicating shrinkage. The mats are 15 3/4" by 11". The smaller mat is 14 1/2" by 10". It is slightly lighter in color. The napkins are 15 3/4" by 16". One of the lighter colored napkins retains a beige hue -- the other one is ivory. The difference in color is best seen in the first two pictures.Because of the bleaching and shrinkage we did not launder this set. The place mats are in excellent condition. There is a hint of staining in the center of one -- so light that the camera did not pick it up.The napkins do have some light staining. NOTE: The yellow to orange dots seen in some of the pics are reflections from the lighting -- they are not stains. Condition: Good Vintage Condition -- please see description for full details.
