Seller: klblythe (986) 99.7%, Location: Edmonds, Washington, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 301844087570 Provenance: Ownership History Not Available, Material: Metal, Details: This is a large antique Neoclassical amphora with stand and two small cups. We had this set assessed by an online valuation site - they believe it is in the style of Roman or Pompeiian wares and dates to the mid 19th century. We are unsure of the metal, it looks to be either brass or bronze with a Japanned finish and gilt accents. We are happy to send a copy of the valuation with the piece upon purchase. The amphora is in good antique condition with wear from normal use and age. I did not see any dents or other damage on the cups or jug. The metal has a dark patina with small spots of verdigris. One of the legs is somewhat loose at the joint on the underside (see photo #8) where the legs are attached. The amphora measures about 17.5" tall by 6" wide, each cup is 3 7/8" wide by 1 3/4" deep, the stand is 11.5" wide by 9.5" tall. The height of the full display is 21.75".
