Antique Venetian Murano Glass Chandelier Parts Leaf Candelabra Ball Droppers 19c

Description

Here we have most of a pretty Murano or Venetian blown glass Chandelier dating from the 19th century probably around 1880. The main metal column and fixing frame is missing and the parts existing are as follows: Four twisted or wrythen candelabra arms - the metal sockets are either corroded or missing. These arms are 12 inches long. Four twisted and coiled arms with ground square socket fitting, one broken. These are also 12 inches long. There are two balls approximately 3 3/4 inches diameter and two cup pieces. Two bobeche or droppers. There are eight high leaves measuring approximately 17 inches long. Two of these are broken with the pieces present. Eight medium leaves of approx 12 inches long - 1 chipped, 1 missing a metal end piece, 1 broken and chipped, 1 broken at the stem. Three small leaves, 10 inches long. Three twisted stem twist stem leaves approx 10 inches - 1 OK, 1 in bits and 1 with a broken stem - approximately 10 inches long.  1 cup or tazza with 9 lustres or droppers - should be 10, 1 is missing. The pieces weigh a total of 6736g unpacked. Because of the weight, the chandelier can only be sent to overseas locations by a courier service. We always obtain proof of posting for all items. In the unlikely event of an item going missing in the post, we will provide the buyer with the proof of posting and all reasonable assistance to enable them to make a claim from the Royal Mail. 

We generally post items the working day following that in which we receive cleared payment and send notification that items have been posted. If purchasing from outside of the UK please be patient as sometimes items can be delayed in the various postal systems, although this is unusual.

Terms of Sale

Condition of items: Photographs form part of the description and any defects (if present) are normally included within  the photographs. Every effort is made to describe damage or faults accurately, where possible with the help of pictures. However, before bidding would-be buyers should be aware that most listed items are antiques and some may have small blemishes associated with age and wear, deemed too minor to merit specific mention and not regarded as sufficient cause for a refund.
