       RARE 1900 BELFORT BRONZE ENTRY SET: KNOBS AND PLATES - AWESOME!   (17542-1)                                                                                                 

Vintage:  circa 1894-1915: READING HARDWARE 'BELFORT' bronze entry set.  Absolutely beautiful!  

Rococo design is intricate, clean and detailed.   The entire RHC offering is outlined in their 1900 catalog on page 217 (see our posted image).

Dimensions as follows:

Each of the backplates measures 13 1/4" in length, width on each is 2 1/2".  

On the exterior plate the drop (the distance from the center of the cylinder lock hole down to the center of the knob post hole is 4 1/8".  

On the interior plate, the drop from the center of the thumb turn cam down to the center of the knob post is 3 3/4".

The exterior bronze knob is oversize with a 2 3/8" diameter and the interior brass knob is the normal 2 1/4", it is a matched set that carries the Blumin ID of B-21100. 

 

Very heavy bronze set and a very clean set, fantastic and not easy to find ion this condition.  Surely would transform and front door. We will ship via USPS Priority Mail with tracking and insurance.
