This antique hand mirror is an exquisite piece of functional art that showcases the Victorian era's beauty and charm. The oval-shaped mirror has an ornate hand-carved wooden frame adorned with floral and scrollwork design similar to the Black Forest aesthetic. The mirror is somewhat large compared to other handheld mirrors, measuring approximately H17.5"xW7.5" and weighing 1lb 12oz. It is backed with solid wood which was fastened with very old nails. There's a torn tag on the back which I left intact, and contains the words Victorian and 1938. I believe this was probably made in the 1800s based on the style, hardwood backing, and nails that were used so I am comfortable marketing it as an antique, but please understand that I am still learning and I may be incorrect.

Great overall condition with some light spotting to the mirror portion but otherwise no significant flaws I could observe upon close inspection. I performed a light cleaning using a clean dry paintbrush and a damp cloth but I didn't oil this piece like I usually do with old wooden items because I was afraid of staining it or listening its value.
