Seller: geoart_studio (7) 100%, Location: San Jose, California, Ships to: US, MX, CA, Item: 161155739976 Condition: Because this item is a preowned piece, it has imperfections due to wear that in no way compromise its attractiveness or function. The spindle has some rust and there are some surface scratches on the door knobs., Color: Oiled Bronze, Material: Iron, Details: Description: This piece used to be plated but the plating has worn away to leave the underlying iron exposed. But no matter, once I removed the rust, the finish emerged as an ‘oiled bronze’ appearance and seems attractive as is. You can either paint this piece to suit your décor or if you like the existing finish a simple coat of clear paint will prevent the rust from reforming. The door knob is 2” (5 cm) in diameter and has a 1-7/8” (4.8 cm) protrusion from the escutcheon. The knob has a ‘flower’ appearance as you look at the end and the length between the knobs can be adjusted slightly by screwing the knob further onto the threaded spindle. The knob-to-knob length can be adjusted from 5-3/8” (13.6 cm) as its shortest length, to its longest length of 6-1/2” (16.5 cm). The spindle itself is 3-3/8” (8.6 cm) long and is ¼” (0.6 cm) square. Once adjusted to the proper length the knobs are tightened onto the spindle with a set screw. The door knobs are both in good condition without any dents or dings, just the scratches that denote their age. Photos are a pretty accurate depiction of the item's condition.
