     This listing is for a vintage oval serving bowl with lid manufactured by Pountney china in England.  This blue/white bowl is in the "Odelberg" pattern and has beautiful raised areas and swirls in the ceramic handles.  It also says "Bristol" on the backstamp as seen in the third picture.  The pattern and deep blue color are strong and show almost no signs of fading or wearing.  

      The bowl and lid are in excellent condition for their age.  I believe the circa date on this pattern is 1930.  Ther are no chips, cracks, or scratches.  The pattern is strong and the glaze still shines beautifully.  Most of the bowl and lid show no signs of crazing.  There is a general, but very light and uniform crazing across the bottom of the bowl.  There is no darkness or staining in the crazing on the pieces, so the piece still shows very well. 

       The bowl measures about 12 inches across on the long side including the handles and about 6 inches across on the short side.  It is about 5 inches tall including the lid.

      This is a beautiful example of vintage English Porcelain.
