Detail

Hand signed and dated by the artist Carolyn Hoyle

Carolyn Hoyle was born in Colorado in 1941. After attending high school in Kansas City, Missouri and one year at the University of Colorado, Carolyn transferred to the Art Institute of Chicago where she received her BFA and MFA degrees. Influences at that time included Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, and Non-Objective.       During and after these educational experiences, she traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia. By visiting museums, galleries, and historical sites, a solid foundation in the history of art was created for later artistic explorations. After moving back to Colorado in 1970, she began studies at the University of Southern Colorado hoping to become a biological illustrator. An interest in the natural sciences continues to this day, but the love of painting dominates her direction in life. By combining training in art and biology, Carolyn formed a detailed sense of nature and location.       Experimenting with a variety of images including figurative, still life, architectural and landscape, Carolyn creates large expansive pieces up to 72" x 48" in size. She has used various media including oils, pastels, colored pencil, transparent watercolor and mixed media.

We have a 100 percent guarantee of authenticity and a 30 day return policy.
