This Deluxe Brooks B135 triple Spring Saddle is a big wide seat meant for the upright riding position on a Vintage Touring or Classic Cruiser Bike. Your Choice of Black or Brown from the Menu. It has a High Quality Leather Top, Chrome 3 way Steel Spring Suspension. The saddle is approximately 10" or 260mm nose to tail long and around 210mm or 8 1/4" wide. The Seat Weighs about 1650 grams or a tad over 3 1/2 pounds. The seat has Double Rails with a 7/8" seat pan clamp, 7/8" clamps are common to all new seats, and Vintage Schwinns Seat posts have an 5/8" top (a size no longer used). We strongly suggest one of our 7/8" topped 13/16" seatposts ( we have straight and cool laid back seatposts in our ebay store) They will give you more adjustably than the Original Short Schwinn 13/16" seatpost. NOTE: Leather Saddles are a Luxury, Relationship, and a Responsibility. The Seat will come real hard and will break in over time with use. You'll need to make sure you oil your saddle regularly, otherwise it'll dry out, crack and become worthless. Sheldon Brown's website holds some good leather care tips. Rawlings leather baseball glove oil and conditioner should be easily accessible, but any suitable treatment used on baseball gloves, leather bike saddles, horse saddles and the like should do just fine. A Leather Saddle is an investment and is not for one who wants a care free seat that can be left in the rain. You can't avoid getting caught in the rain ( it will happen) but with good care it will last and be a saddle you love.
