Lozenge shapes with three diagonal hatch marks are engravings in the quadrants. Likely a Christian ring from the early Modern Period, circa 18th to early 20th century. The cross motif is patterned upon the pagan quatrefoil. It became a common Christian icon around the 4th century. In Orthodox communities, crosses comprised of palm fronds still appears in traditional artwork, including on decorated holiday eggs. The shoulders are engraved with a schematized human face, possibly a representation of Christ. Material is a very attractive copper alloy which mimics the appearance of rose gold.
