Seller: pousho (122) 100%, Location: White Lake, Michigan, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 181970643012 Cupola Spire or Cone Circa 1850's This cone came off a home in Milford, Michigan that was built in 1856. When they renovated the home, we think sometime during the 1920s, the cone was removed and place in an old barn for storage. Cone measures about 40 inches from the insert dowel to the tip of the cone. The dowel at the bottom measures about 2 inches in diameter at the upper portion, and is 3.5 inches in length from the base to the tip of the dowel. The dowel is worn a little bit at the tip, which you can see in the pictures. The diameter of the base just above the dowel is 5.5 inches. The cone at its widest point is 9 inches in diameter, and the length is about 32 inches. The wood is dense and heavy, which leads us to believe it is old oak.
