Barolac was a line of frosted wares made by JOSEF Inwald for retailer John Jenkins & Son of London. MAKER: Attributed to Josef Inwald Company (Czechoslovakia, 1862-1958). DATE : c. 1930Forest Vase c. 1930s. Attributed to Josef Inwald Company (Czechoslovakia, 1862-1958). Measures approximately 10 1/2 " high and 7 1/2 width at the opening. In good condition. It does have some flea bites at the base, some small imperfections to the tree bark and a scratch on the inside, but no cracks or hairlines. This is a very high relief art glass vase with a Forest of trees as the subject. Rare and very hard to find. Often mistaken for Lalique of France because of the frosted technique, 'Barolac' glass was exclusively designed and produced for the English importer and retailer John Jenkins & Son.
