This cable includes a microprocessor to generate the record start/stop command for LANC controlled cameras. It has been proved to work on Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera, Canon C100, C300 and Sony FS-100, 700 & PXW-FS7.

There are three connections for this cable:

1: The cable connects to the lens servo system to provide power and to enable the VTR button to control the camera through a 12 pin female Hirose type connector.

2: The power connector is a standard coaxial power plug. It will connect to a 12v battery packs or to your own power source using the additional pigtail supplied.

3: The third connection is a LANC standard jack (2.5mm) to the camera. The VTR button will activate record start/stop.

This cable provides power to the lens which will activate the servo zoom function of the lens. In addition, depending on options, you may have limited aperture control. Aperture control is usually not possible as it requires special signals from the camera.

When using your own power source make sure that the positive connection is on the centre pin.

The cable has been tested on a Sony (LANC standard) camera. The photos show a typical cable.  There may be minor variations between samples.
