This ebay hobby was started one day when I purchased a "Old Pawn" Navajo Bolo at an local antique market and first put it on. I immediately knew what I've heard others  talking about over the years. I felt a Great Overwhelming Pride of the Spirit of the Navajo Indian who crafted the special piece many years ago. That one day, not long ago, I got the bug. The understanding of what I've heard from others over the years, but until that day had not experienced. This was a special gift from a Proud and Humble Indian Artist who was doing this to feed his family. I truly hope one day that everyone can experience that magic for yourself.      

This listing is for A STUNNING NAVAJO "OLD PAWN" STERLING THUNDERBIRD NECKLACE. THIS 1930'S FRED HARVEY ERA THUNDERBIRD FEATURES A LARGE GORGEOUS THUNDERBIRD COVERED IN GREAT NATIVE HAND STAMPED DETAILS ALL OVER HIS BREAST, WINGS AND TAIL. THESE ARE  EARLY HAND MADE STAMPS WITH SOME GREAT RARE FEATHER STAMPING IN HIS TAIL AND A PAIR OF ARROWS IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS ON EACH WING SYMBOLIZING WAR.  IT IS HANGING ON A 1930'S HAND MADE ALTERNATING LINK CHAIN THAT MEASURES APPRX. 27  INCHES LONG. THESE 2 GO TOGETHER LIKE 2 PEAS IN A POD! THE THUNDERBIRD IS ONE OF THE NATIVES MOST POWERFUL SPIRITS AND REPRESENTS POWER, PROTECTION AND STRENGTH. In Addition to the the Skilled Craftsmanship that the Native Americans possessed, they also went to great work to use stones that have special natural powers. The most common, Turquoise was mined in several states in the Southwest and is a stone of Strength. It purifies the body and dispels negative energy.
