DESCRIPTION: The price is for one sterling silver small cream pitcher jug creamer. This English Sterling Silver piece is a mid 18th Century Georgian period piece and made by Henry Corry, London England. The piece is hallmarked on the bottom with the lion passant (sterling mark), pre 1821 crowned leopard for London,  makers initials "H*C" and date letter of a fancy cursive "c"(pic #7 and #8). The cursive "c" dates this to 1758. Guaranteed to date to 1758. The H*C mark was registered to Henry Corry in 1754 by London. Nice bulbous pear shaped form with ornate cabriole legs ending on hooved feet. Applied scroll handle with thumb rest. The cream jug has nice repousse work. It is hard to believe this cream jug is over 250 years old. The patina is fabulous and can only happen with 250 years of gentle hand polishing. You could have this professionally polished to a high shine, but why. As mentioned this is over 250 years old.  Good condition for age. No monogram. There are some minor dimple dings from years of use, but no major dents(mostly noticed in cartouche area). No repairs or breaks. There is wear typical for age and use. Upon close inspection you may notice some very minor light scratches and wear from normal use and age (typical for a piece of this age). Fabulous George II period antique cream jug.Ornate form and fabulous patina make this a great piece. Measures about 4" tall and the weighs about 101.8 grams (weighed on Postal scale).
