Created for Gorham by noted designer William Christmas Codman in 1895, Gorham's Chantilly pattern is the most popular sterling flatware pattern ever produced! Chantilly's distinctive scroll design and fleur-de-lis accents were inspired by the Rococo style of early 18th-century France. This grouping bears the newer stamp "Gorham Sterling". There are no monograms. Both the butter spreader and the knife are hollow handles. The following is each piece's measurements: salad fork 6 1/2" dinner fork 7" knife 8 7/8" butter spreader 6 1/8" grand ice tea spoon 7 5/8" cream soup spoon  teaspoon 5 3/4" The pieces are substantial; they weigh a combined 280 grams.  The pieces are in excellent used condition. There are no dents, deep scratches or discolorations.  At the time of posting this listing I have other 7-piece settings that bear the old marking. I cannot find any differences between the two sets. I also have individual pieces in the same pattern.
