Indiana 1865 Civil War Volunteer Bounty loan repayment: printed $ 2.90 note

When President Lincoln called for 150,000 volunteers and soon raised the number to 300,000 many counties throughout the Union established bounties to be paid to volunteers.  Most counties did not have the cash to fund the bounties and had to borrow the funds from citizens.  This note was issued to re-pay William Iseminger

$ 2.90 as a part of  such a loan as a Vol. bounty fund and states that it is "Expense of Volunteering".  I believe that the amount of $2.90 represents interest on an amount paid into the fund by William. All similar Harrison County Bounty Fund notes for $25 or more have been marked " unpaid for lack of funds".  This note is marked "redeemed" so it would seem that the county was able to make interest payments on unpaid fund notes. The note was issued by the treasurer of Harrison county and is dated Dec. 1865 at Corydon, Indiana.  Size 7.5" by 3", mildly age toned, fine condition.
