The battery box is only 3 in. long, 2 in. wide and 3/4 in. thick.

20-light string of L.E.D. (light emitting diode).  Each light string measures 11 feet 4 inches in length, 6 inches between lights.  There is an 18 inch lead from the battery box to the first light.  And best of all, it is operated by 3 AA batteries (not included).  These strings have a green battery box and green wire; they are also available with translucent wire and white battery boxes; and are made of commercial grade, heavy duty wire.  Easily accessible on/off switch.  No more hauling heavy batteries or large lanterns....these lights will easily fit in your backpack, tacklebox and even in your pocket.  With 3 AA batteries (not included) you can run these lights for 50+ hours depending on the quality of the batteries.  These LEDs use 80-90% less energy than conventional lights

Point of Information - When comparing battery powered LED light strings make sure you know how long the batteries will last.  Many foreign listings do not mention how long they last; our battery powered camping lights will last 50+ hours.  You will spend a lot of money on batteries with some of those items that don't tell you.  Also, these are called 5mm conical "wide angle lenses"  which means the light will be dispersed over an area of 180 degrees, as opposed to many of the other round lens covers that only show light 30-40 degrees.
