  • A superb antique late Victorian period ( Golden Jubilee year 1887) cased solid silver Christening set, comprising fork and spoon. Both are fully and clearly hallmarked for Sheffield 1887 with Makers initials JEB ( John Edward Bingham) Walker & Hall). The fork has a maximum length of 6.5 in ( 165 mm) and a maximum width of 0.75 in (19 mm). The spoon has a maximum length of 6.3 in (160 mm) and maximum bowl width of 1.26 in (32 mm). Both have detailed ornate decoration to the full length of their handles with a shield shaped vacant cartouche. They have a combined weight of 51.3 grams and come in their silk/velvet lined and black Moroccan leather covered presentation case with push-button release catch. All are in superb condition with no damage and would make a great addition to anyones collection, display or for use etc...
