Lower palaeolithic - Fine acheulean scraper. c.350,000BP UK found.
A very fine early acheulean side scraper. Produced on a rectangular shaped flake. The dorsal face is mainly cortex with an area on one lateral edge that displays superb retouch. The ventral face has itrregular percussive undulations. All with ancient, toffee coloured patina. An extremely archaic feeling artifact.
