Mexique. (Old Maps, 19th Century Maps, North America, Mexico, Guatemala, Mexico City, Yucatan, Vera Cruz). Issued c. 1852, Paris by Duvotenay.
Decorative mid-19th century engraved map with original outline hand color.
Includes the newly recognized state of Texas and all of the vast (mostly empty interior) American southwest, including all of California up to a boundary labelled "Limit after the Treaty of Washington in Feb. 1819".
Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
