This masterfully handcrafted crystal piece features a finely detailed and incredibly life-like koala. The koala has been expertly modeled and deeply engraved, complete with frosted detailing, to the reverse side of the solid crystal block. The detail on this stunning piece is absolutely incredible with even the finest of individual hairs captured. The koala has a sensational three dimensional form, contradicting the fact it has been carved into a flat block of solid crystal. One cannot help but be drawn into the amazingly detailed three dimensional world captured within the sparkling ice-like crystal. This highly appealing example of Jonasson's amazing work is wonderfully composed and expertly crafted. Gum leaves and the sparkling ice-like textured sides perfectly frame the delightful creature. This quality lead crystal sculpture has a magnificent clarity and literally sparkles. SIZE: This exceptional piece stands approx 75mms tall and measures 75mms in width. CONDITION: This exquisite lead crystal sculpture is presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs. This piece has been very well cared for and presents spectacularly. MARKS: This piece is beautifully signed to the base with an engraved signature reading "MJ Sweden 9175" and also retains its original "Mats Jonasson Signature Collection" label.
