She was purchased on a family vacation and lovingly preserved all this time. This fantastic doll is based on ...Bertrada of Laon, also known as Bertrada the Younger or Bertha Broadfoot, was a Frankish queen. In French her name is "Berthe aux Grands Pieds", which translates literally to 'Bertha with Big Feet". She was the wife of Pepin the Short and the mother of Charlemagne, Carloman and Gisela, plus five other children.
