(PRIMROSE ) C1875.. BLOCK PRINTED. SIZE 6"x 6" OR 152MM X 152MM. A most delightful series which was certainly a little risqué for their time. This one being Wild Rose from a group of twelve Spirits of the flowers by mintons. This is a chocolate brown on a buff clay. These are not often found especially in this colourway. I completely understand why these are so desirable. A little bit of Victorian erotica mixed with mother nature. It's in near perfect condition with just one minute glaze nibble on the top left corner and little amount of smugging on the brown border around the bottom right corner thus would of occurred in the manufacturing process. Has a nice clean back with some underglaze tiny chips on one edge which are so small they can not be seen from the front. I have another four listed from the same series all in excellent condition.
