Early 290th Century Russian "Kazanskaya" icon covered in a beautiful silver plate & enamel riza with a white porcelain plaque identifying the Madonna.
10" High ... 8 1/2" Wide ...3/4" Thick
Icon is early 20th Century. The silver plate is in nice shape but the enamel has some wear which can be seen in closeup digital photos but is not apparent when displayed. The icon itself is painted (not printed) on board and the back is covered in red felt but the riza is securely nailed in place and was not removed to check for completeness or damage.
