This absolutely stunning masterpiece created by Namiki, is hand painted using various techniques of the ancient art of Maki-e. The Carp, a symbol of good fortune, is shown swimming agaisnt the current surrounded by traditional landscape of rock, hanging vines and sand. By separating the different colored precious metals in powdered form, the artist creates an exquisite depth to this fine writing instrument with each flowing brush stroke. Each pen is signed by Namiki's maki-e Artist Hyakusen Murata.
