Old Mary Madonna Italian Carved Shell Cameo Signed & Gold Filled Brooch Pendant. Lovely vintage 1950's Catholic religious cameo brooch, depicting Mary, with a detailed nimbus, the hand carved shell cameo is Italian in origin, mounted in a 1/20th 12K gold filled brooch mounting with hinged loop for pendant wear, with rope twist surround, measuring 1-5/8" x 1-1/4" overall, the mounting is marked 1/20 12K GF in a circular cartouche on the back, see photos, the back of the cameo appears to be signed with two conjoined initials, WD perhaps, see pohto #4, condition: on the front right side of the cameo you can see 8 small whitish lines, they don't seem to be cracks as they do not appear on the back, from a local estate.
