Old antique 4" Double Wheel Hardware for carrying a Sliding Barn or Garage Door. Old iron spoked double-wheel hardware for carrying a barn sliding door. ( or carriage house , old garage , etc. ) Two iron wheels joined at the center. The wheels are 4" in diameter. 1 9/16" wide overall, to the outside edges of the wheels. Inside width is a tight 13/16" ( the open space between the wheels ). Width of the spindle is about 1/2", between the wheels but not including the two hubs. All parts are made of iron. Hard to say exactly, but I believe this piece of hardware dates to the 1800s ( possibly the very early 1900s, at the latest ). Good condition, with just light surface rust and a couple of dabs of old red paint. Solid, weighing over one pound, and was clearly made to last. Not bent, and no wobbling as it rolls; the two wheels are still properly parallel. Still rolls nice and smoothly across a flat surface. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
Condition: Good. See the photos and see details below., Type: Barn Door, Decade: Unknown, Style: Antique, Original/Reproduction: Antique Original, Material: Iron, Features: Reclaimed, Salvage
