Original pair of vintage western spurs, made of iron. Spurs have six 1 ½” rowels, and are decorated on the outside of the heel bands. Shanks are approximately 2 ¼” long and the heel bands are approximately 3 ¼” wide at the back. Shanks are made of three larger to smaller circles of iron. These look to be handmade by a blacksmith, no markings that I can find. Found at estate sale of astronaut Charles Duke in New Braunfels, Texas. Nice- looking old spurs. Light surface rust (see photos); tongue part of leathers broken off on both spurs. NO LOCAL PICKUPS.
