On offer is a lot composed by: - KNIFE  obtained from trades between French and East Coast Native Nations (probably Iroquois), with metal blade (probably steely iron), handle in wood -  period around first of 1800 -SHEAT.   Dating back to the end of 1800, enterely made with porcupine quills dyed with natural pigments and interweaved on a leather basis, all sewn by animal tendons . Amazing quill work, very refined and worn, as you can see in the close up pictures.   The final part is decorated with porcupine quills, metal tin cones and horsehair tufts.   . The laces also made of brain tanned deer hide, at the junction with the sheath have been decorated with braided quills.  The basis is made of deer leather, should be more recent, and replaced an older one, as it was common for very old and worn sheaths like this.
