Post-incunable leaf with old-coloured woodcut by Hans Schäufelein from "Plenarium" Basle: Adam Petri, 1516 Details: For sale is an original leaf from the second edition of "Das Plenarium oder Ewangely buoch" (the first edition was published in 1514) . The fine woodcut with splendid old-colouring was made by Hans Schäufelein (Hollstein German 1086) and shows the parable of the great banquet without guests. Hans Leonhard Schäufelein (c. 1480–1540) was a German painter, designer, and wood engraver. Hans Schäufelein (* um 1480/1485 wahrscheinlich in Nürnberg; † um 1538 oder 1540 in Nördlingen) war ein deutscher Maler, Graphiker, insbesondere Holzschneider und Buchillustrator der Dürerzeit mit dem Künstlerzeichen einer Schaufel.
