This evocative artefact; broad, hardy and strong, has more than a hint of the society that produced it. Condition: Excellent, beautifully preserved with no restorations.Height: 10 inches. 11 inches as mounted.Provenance:Discovered by Viggo Johansen Knudsen (1917 - 1977) near the town of Værløse, Denmark before 1937.Inherited by Mr Knudsen's daughter in 1977 and accompanied by a detailed letter, with images and information on the piece, its discovery and its provenance.
