Chinese Wood and Lacquer Carved Lid 18/19th Century
Two wooden Chinese lid with intricate and artistic carvings on both sides.
The top of the wooden lid is carved as a melon with tendrils. The inside has a very elaborate carving of immortals in the clouds with a foo lion flying above. The wood was then covered in a black lacquer. The carving is very fine and deep.
