Pre-Roman Italy Click images to enlarge Description An authentic ancient Etruscan ,Etruria (Italy) circa 350–200 B.C. cast bronze hand mirror of a circular disk form with a slight concave on the reverse side with a pronounced two- stage lip engraved with concentric circles and incised with a continuous groove around the rim and adorned with engraved lobed rosette of stylized flower form.The integral handle is in typical Etruscan form of tapering stem form with a concave-sided extension and adorned with an engraved design. This mirror is smaller than other Etruscan mirrors, so it is possible that this is a very rare example of an Etruscan mirror specially made for a young person most likely a teenager or an older child. MEASUREMENTS: Overall length: 18 cm (7.09 inches) Diameter of the disk: 9cm (3.54 inches) WEIGHT: 93 grams CONDITION: Showing age and usage, the surface of the mirror has a dark brown and green patina, and the circular face of the mirror is damaged.
