Item:253263269514A very thin and very rare type of Sphenopteris fern. Superb detail!Nice color, but very thin and mus tbe observed closely. Thin shale matrix. These plants grew approximately 330 million years ago during the Carboniferous, Pennsylvanian Period--------Check out my other fossils too!! I have many different types of rare plant fossils, and the occasional Marine fossil! All collected in eastern Kentucky, USA I DO COMBINE SHIPPING ON MOST FOSSILS. Please Note:If you plan to purchase multiple items to combine shipping, just message me and let me know, there is no combined shipping button. I will allow you to take as many days as you want to shop before paying. Just let me know when you are finished shopping and I will then create an invoice with combined shipping. I have disabled the combined shipping request in ebay shopping cart. I like to figure up the combined shipping charges myself. Some of my fossils are too large to be shipped with others because they pose a crushing risk. I like to be able to do the combined shipping myself because of this reason. That way everything is done correctly, and done the cheapest. I have many repeat customers who like to shop over a span of a few weeks before they pay, to save on shipping. Fossils are heavy. I like to use USPS flat rate boxes when combining shipments. USPS flat rate boxes come in real handy when combining shipping, because the rate stays the same no matter the weight. I can usually fit up to 6 orders in a medium flat rate box for 13.60, and up to 8 items in a large flat rate box for 18.45. I also like to include extra fossils in the flat rate boxes if there is any extra space! All my fossils come from two sites here in eastern Kentucky. These sites are very rich in plant fossils. I collect many types of fern. Most of the ferns I find have the most beautiful detail, and are black in color. I also find the occasional marine fossil, such as brachiopods. I recently found ancient arthropod tracks in a marine layer that is above the plant shale layer that my fossils come from. I collect fossils as often as I can. It mostly depends on the weather. It is a hard job, but I love it! I literally put blood, sweat and tears into it. I am pulling some high quality, and rare fossils from these sites. I sell most of the fossils I find. I do like to donate fossils as well. I have not donated as many as I should have, but I plan to make up for that. I have many great customers! My customers really love their fossils. And they all have their preferences. Their favorite types. I am proud to say I have sent fossils all over the united states and around the world. All the fossils I collect, I clean up with a brush. I break off all the loose pieces and trim them up as much as possible to save on shipping charges, while being careful not to damage the fossil. I do nothing more. I also DO NOT spray my fossils with anything to enhance the looks. I leave that up to the customer. I charge actual shipping. I try my best to pick the cheapest and most reliable shipping for each fossil. Sometimes, with the heavier fossils, flat rate boxes come in handy. I add no packaging charges to shipping. It is the actual shipping cost. Your fossil will ship the next day after payment. I don't mess around. I know how important it is to get your item in a timely manner. I pride myself on fast shipping. Thank you for looking and good luck!!Condition: New
