On offer this antique Black Forest oak secretary mounted with red deer and fallow deer antlers and beautiful carved roses. The large figural carved roses each have a different presentation. On top a beautiful carved fox head with glass eyes. The two little doors of the middle part are decorated with a beautiful carved hound on each door.
On the two larger doors of the desk part on the left door a beautiful very fine carved pair of rabbits, on the right door a beautiful very fine carved pair of foxes. No missing parts on all of these carvings.
The antler chair with leather seat, comes with the secretary, it was purchased from the same estate and belonged together.
This set was purchased in Germany and dates 1880 or about. It was most probably manufactured by Madel & Sohn in Ichenhausen Bayern Germany. It shows all over. All locks are in working order. Age related traces of usage. Excellent condition.
