Origin and 1st appearance of Silver Age Atom in "Birth of the Atom!", script by Gardner Fox, pencils by Gil Kane, inks by Murphy Anderson; Scientist Palmer is experimenting with his reducer lens to try and reduce objects in size without blowing them up, all without success; However, when he, Jean and students are trapped in a cave-in, he decides to use the lens on himself and save the others before he is destroyed. "Battle of the Tiny Titans!", script by Gardner Fox, pencils by Gil Kane, inks by Murphy Anderson; When one of Jean Loring's friends is accused of stealing money from the bank where she works as a teller, she explains that a little man appeared and stole the money; When Jean tells Ray that her friend is a trustworthy person, Ray decides to see what he can do with his shrinking powers. 2-page text history of the Atom from the Golden Age by Julius Schwartz, art by Ben Flinton; E.
