Small Vintage Japanese “Sadou" Tea Ceremony ’Sensu’ Folding Fan: Jan18R

Vintage Japanese “sensu" Fan from Kyoto... This lovely little “sensu" fan was made by one of Kyoto’s renown fan makers. The struts are  natural-lacquered bamboo with a  Japanese “Momiji” maple leaf motif on a silver background.  This type is typically used for “Sadou” or Tea Ceremony. It is finely made and is in apparently perfect, unused condition. Made in Kyoto It measures a about 10” or 26cm across when open and is about 6" or 15cm long. This is a unique item and would be lovely as a display. See photos for other details - they show the front, back and partially open view of the fan… Note: This is one of a huge lot of ‘vintage' Japanese items that we have acquired. Many were stock from a shop in Kyoto that sold kimono accessories… Most were produced in the 1980’s but some are newer. Some are unused, like new or have stains or other damage so examine the photos and read the description carefully before purchasing to determine the exact condition of this particular item and it’s value to you.
