Published in December, 1958, by Vista Publications/Marvel Comics, this auction is for issue #85 of the Silver Age Adventure/Horror anthology title, ‘Strange Tales.’

This hard-to-obtain comic book is a must-have for any serious SA comic collector, and contains the following adventures: “The Return of Gargantus!” pencils by Jack Kirby, inks by Dick Ayers; “New Glasses” text story; “The Man Who Fell!” with art by Paul Reinman; and “The Ape Man,” with art by Steve Ditko. The book’s cover was penciled by Jack Kirby, with inks by Dick Ayers.

This single, English-language issue is a valuable addition to your collection, and posts a Grade of 3.0, G/VG (Good/Very Good) and is in ungraded/unslabbed condition: Please look at the many detailed photos for the most accurate assessment of the comic book’s condition, noting that the book’s major detraction is a severe spine roll and a few tiny chips/wear on the comic’s front right corner—while the rest of the issue is in decent condition overall.
