Sometimes it is referred as “terracotta box”. It consists of two parts – a cylindrical box which is the vessel itself, and a separate lid. There is a three dimensional female bust on the lid of the pyxid (usually this way were represented the goddesses Athremida and Aphrodte). On the lid, there is a floral decoration in the “west slope” technique, that radially follow the female bust. Chronically the pyxid dates at III – II century BC. It was initially uncovered during the archaeological excavation in the south-west necropolis at the site Isar Marvinci in Macedonia.
