Title: La triste reina de los pajaros (The sad queen of the birds) Ts painting belongs to an exbition that I never had. A well known local gallery was going to make me a personal exbit. The paintings were ready to be mounted on cardboard and framed when the gallery suddenly closed. It took me 2 years in getting my paintings back. Signed and dated in the front and signed dated and titled in the back. Size: 36x26 inches. I made ts painting when I was starting to explore the use of photograpc paper and inks with a gel medium. I had a few boxes of 13x19 inches paper and decided to make the paintings larger for exbition by taping 4-13x19" papers using plastic tape in the back. I created a unique process where I paint by hand directly into different types of blank photo papers using watercolor inks and some other unconventional household chemicals. Mixing them creates physical reactions that are instantly registered in the paper. The result is a painting with so much sharpness tonal gradation depth of field and flowing movement that resembles the work of Nature. I don't use a camera digital printer or any other form of reproduction. Each painting is one of a kind. Intrigued?
