USMC Marine US Vietnam "DA NANG" OD M-1 HELMET COVER NEAR MINT Vtg

Some US Marines landing at Da Nang in 1965 were photographed wearing solid OD helmet covers, and these quickly became known as the "Da Nang" cover. This USMC Marine US Vietnam "DA NANG" OD M-1 HELMET COVER is in near mint condition, with a very small spot of pinkish soiling at one lower middle right crown, and with a small spot of whitish soiling evident at the other right crown (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the cover is in near mint shape, with absolutely no rips, holes, tears, or other damage to the crisp OD 100% cotton construction. Most interestingly, it bears foliage slits around the crown, carries no maker, contract, or date stampings, and is a beautiful example of an original USMC Marine US Vietnam "DA NANG" OD M-1 HELMET COVER .
