Antique, cast iron, late 1800's. The sharp spikes closed down on the cloth mop head locking it in place. Held by 2 bolts on either sides where the holes are (no bolts now). 6 3/4" x 7 3/4" closed - as in first photo including screw that would go into the wooden handle. Unsigned but most likely a patented item. UNCOMMON. All good. As pictured. Condition: Used, Decade: 1890s, Original/Reproduction: Antique Original, Material: Cast Iron
